Bourjois Paris has become my favourite makeup brand for foundation and powder. I’ve seen reviews on Youtube and people rave about the healthy balance matte powder. I decided to try it and it is currently my favourite powder.

My sister then ordered both the healthy mix serum and healthy mix foundation on Asos and she highly recommended both. Though I have multiple foundations, I bought both just to check what the hype is about. Same as the healthy balance powder, the serum and foundation are great!

I have oily skin so I always look for a matte powder and the Bourjois Healthy Balance is the best ‘drugstore’ powder I have tried so far. The packaging is simple and sleek. I like the big mirror too. it’s a great product. I got the shade light beige.

I don’t know how to properly describe these two foundations but they are great. The problem with buying foundations online is you have to take a risk when picking your shade. I got a light and dark one because I thought I could mix them up if they’re not the perfect shade.

I got Beige (No. 54) in the Healthy Mix Serum and Dark Beige (No. 55) in the Healthy Mix foundation. The Healthy Mix serum is a light coverage foundation. It feels great on the skin and it doesn’t feel like I have any foundation at all. The Health Mix foundation is more medium coverage but you can also build it up. These two last incredibly well throughout the day too.

I’m sorry the lighting is too yellow (the sun was setting when I was taking photos) but I have the Healthy Mix serum in Dark Beige on the left and Healthy Mix foundation in Beige on the right.

They’re not full coverage but I think they are great for every day use especially the Healthy Mix serum. They also both have a fruity scent which I like.

I’ve also heard that Bourjois is owned by the same company as Chanel and some of their products are very similar to Chanel cosmetics too. I don’t own any Chanel foundations but I’ve heard it is similar to the Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua.

As I’ve said before, I got mine from Asos as it used to be the only place I could buy it from. However, I recently discovered that Farmers here in New Zealand stock them now too!

You can now find Bourjois in Farmers. I’ve seen Farmers in Albany, Glenfield and Takapuna/Shore City have them. The price is definitely more than if you buy the products off Asos but now you can try and test them first.

Lastly, I also got an eyebrow product from Rimmel London called Brow This Way. I have always wanted to get Benefit’s Gimme Brow but I can’t justify spending NZ$45 on it since I have so many eyebrow products. Thankfully, drugstore brands are slowly picking up on the trend and have come out with their own versions.

I actually quite like this. However, the brush is slightly too big and I wish it was smaller, similar to the Gimme brow. Luckily, I have thick eyebrows so this still works on me but for people with thinner eyebrows may struggle to work with this. I got this for less than $5 and I can’t really complain. I have not seen this available in New Zealand though.
