My April Picks

Before this month ends, I thought I’d share my current favourite products.

Click more to see what I’ve tried and loved this April.

These are mainly beauty/face products with one hair care and body care product.

Let’s start with the body care product.

lipidol oil body shower

This is the Lipidol After Shower Oil. You can get this from Farmers and it is pretty inexpensive at $9.95. This is a brand new bottle because I have used up my previous one. I absolutely love this. I have neglected my body lotions and body butters for this because it gets absorbed so easily on the skin and it keeps my body moisturised. I will continue to repurchase and use this over the winter months unless I find a better body oil.

haircare sea salt spray

Urban Fudge Sea Salt Spray. I wear my hair in curls/waves almost every day and I do that without any heating tools. I learned a trick from my sister and it is to twist/twirl my hair while it’s damp and leave it on overnight. When I wake up in the morning and I untangle it, they come out in nice natural looking waves (sometimes it works too much as seen in this Instagram photo). I have been told a few times how nice my “natural” hair is and it’s not natural at all! My nice waves are thanks to this hair product. It is amazing at adding texture and keeping the curls. I’m almost out of this and when I searched for it, The Warehouse was sold out. I need this in my life! Haha

I got this from iHerb and it is the George’s Aloe Spray Mister. It does what it says. It feels refreshing especially during the hotter months and whenever my face needed a pick me up. I spray this before make up and sometimes even after. It’s a large bottle and it was only $6.

moroccan oil beauty skincare

Also from iHerb is this Acure Moroccan Argan Oil. I’ve recently been into face oils the past few months and I think this has worked quite well on my naturally oily skin. It is definitely moisturising. It doesn’t sink in quickly though compared to my other Rosehip Oil but this doesn’t have a scent which I like and it can also be used on your hair, body and nails. It’s an all-rounder.

makeup essence cccream powder

I have been impressed with these two Essence products and I’ve been using them every day. This Essence all-in-one CC Cream is great. It has a slight runny texture but it applies like foundation and is lightweight on the skin. It also has good coverage for a CC Cream and has SPF too which is always a bonus. I usethe Essence Mattifying Powder  to set my makeup and it does the job. These two products are less than $10 which are great value for money.

topshop blush makeup beauty

Topshop blush in Head Over Heels. I have been reaching for this more than my other blushes because it is a cream blush which lasts better throughout the day. The colour looks bright and scary but it really is nice when blended out. I use a stippling brush to apply this hence why it doesn’t look smooth any more. I feel like Topshop cosmetics are quite underrated and it doesn’t get talked about a lot. I do plan on writing a blog post about them so stay tuned!

Last but not the least is this MAC lipstick in Craving. I have found myself picking this lipstick up every time I go out because it is such a gorgeous shade. It is a your-lips-but-better shade on me and I just love it. It is an amplified finish so it is opaque and has a bit of shine. The shade as most people have described it is between a pink and a plum. It is wearable and I think it would suit a lot of people.

That’s all for my current favourites. I’m not too sure if I’ll do a monthly favourites post as I may not have different products to share but as this is my first one on here, I thought I’d give it a go. Let me know what you think and if you’ve tried any of these too.
