iHerb is one of my favourite places to shop online. It’s a great site and makes other brands more accessible to NZ. I love how the it has e.l.f. cosmetics, Real Techniques, Physician’s Formula and EcoTools to name a few.
Cosmetics is just one part of the site though. It has an amazing selection of supplements, skincare, bodycare and even food. This isn’t sponsored by iHerb by the way. I just love it and I’ve had a good experience from previous orders.
This specific haul is a mixture of things. I usually just buy makeup on iHerb but I decided to venture out and try some haircare and skincare products. This was bought a few months ago when I was having a really bad skin situation.
See below for details of my haul.
I wont spend too long talking about this George’s Aloe Spray Mister as I’ve featured it in my April favourites post. It’s a great face spray and it comes in a large bottle too.
I love this Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask. Again, it comes in a large tube and lasts a long time. I love how refreshing this is and it makes my face smooth and soft. I have oily and acne-prone skin and this is meant to target that skin type which is perfect. It’s a great mask that I’ll keep repurchasing.
Next one is this Pure Rosehip Seed Oil. I really like this face oil. I switch between this and the Moroccan Argan Oil. This gets absorbed in the skin faster and better than the Moroccan Argan oil but this has a slight smell to it that I didn’t like at the start but I’m gotten used to. I like brushing this on my eyelashes before bed as well. I feel like it helps to lengthen and strengthen my lashes.
I have not tried this Giovanni Styling Mist a lot. The reason being is that I don’t straighten my hair on an every day basis any more and therefore I don’t need to use this as much. I’ve used this twice though and I thought it was okay. I’d have to give it a good go before I can properly review it.
I bought Nubian Heritage African Black Soap in high hopes it will fix my problematic skin. At the time, my skin was breaking out badly and I also have follicle irritation around my neck and chest area. I’ve read the reviews and it sounded good because it has helped other people with their acne. I decided to give it a go and this is the only soap I use every day for my face and so far so good.
I did have a purging stage when I had massive breakouts around the 3rd or 4th week of use but after that, my skin was fine. I still get the hormonal breakout every month but it’s been under control and I think it’s because of this soap and the face oils I’ve been using. This makes my face feel squeaky clean but it makes the skin drier so watch out if you already have dry skin. It seems to work on me though and this bar will last a long time.
This is another purchase for my problematic skin. It is the Margarite Zinc Cream. I bought it because it said it’s meant for acne blemishes, rashes, redness and itching. I mainly use this to combat my follicle irritation. I get red itchy spots on my neck when it flares up and this helps the itching go away. I only ever use this on my face for massive breakouts because I cannot stand the smell.
I cannot make an iHerb order without some e.l.f. cosmetics. This time I got the baked blush, eyelid primer and under eye setting powder.
This baked blush is in the shade peachy cheeky. This is a shimmery blush which can be used as a highlighter but I do like this lightly dusted on my cheeks for a nice glow. It’s a great product for the price.
I quite like this undereye setting powder but I hated the packaging. It is in this tiny pot and it broke on me after few uses. I had to move the powder into another container so it made a big mess and now it’s harder to use as dipping the brush gets way too much product. Besides the packaging, I think this is a good undereye setting powder. It has glitter which I don’t find too noticeable and it helps brighten my under eye area.
Not included in the haul photo above are these Nature’s Gate Biotin shampoo and conditioner. I got these because it’s meant to strengthen the hair. I hope it works because my hair falls out a lot especially in the shower and these are said to help weak and thinning hair. I’m still finishing my current shampoo and conditioner but I’m excited to try them soon.
That’s about it for this haul. I made another iHerb order last week since my vitamins and probiotics were running out and I got a few other beauty items with it too. You’ll be seeing that when it arrives.
If you have other product recommendations I can get from iHerb, let me know below. There are so many things on there that it’s easy to get lost in the site but I’m always keen to try new products.
