OOTD: Contrast Dress

This week’s #BlogGreatness theme is Contrast. I thought this thrifted collared dress would be great for it because of the contrast in colours.

I also wore this outfit to this month’s brunchclub event (minus the hat). I’ve featured this O.F.B. dress in my last thrift haul but if you want to see how I styled it, click below.

I finally got a tripod that’s strong enough to hold my heavy slr camera (thanks to my dad) and I can now take outfit photos outside! My sister will probably appear as my model again but at least I can now have outfit photos of myself.

I really like the contrasting colours of this dress. I don’t have a dress like this and I like how it’s just straight. It’s not tight-fitting yet it’s not unflattering.

If you want to check the other blog posts on the #BlogGreatness theme Contrast, go over here. I’m so delighted I found the #brunchclub and #nzbloggers page on Facebook and I’m a part of this lovely community of bloggers. It motivates me to keep blogging and improve. #BlogGreatness is one thing the group has come up with to encourage us bloggers and I love how people have interpreted each weekly theme so far.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this outfit post. I’m glad I can finally take my own outfit shots now. This means there will be more ootd/outfit posts to come on the blog too!

I hope you have a good weekend!

Thanks! That dress is nice and simple. I’m glad I found it. I love how it’s appropriate for work too. It’s not that warm because of the material but if I wear something underneath and have a coat on it’s great anyway.
Oh yes, Karen Walker used to do cute statement jewellery and this was the first one I picked up. It’s so cute with as it has different animals and flowers. 🙂

      Thanks so much Meagan! 🙂
Yes, I have a few outfit posts planned. I’ve taken a few already I just need the time to write and put them all together.

I totally agree! Without a tripod, I can’t have outfit photos on my blog since no one can work my camera but me 😦 I bought a cheap one from eBay but it’s not strong enough for the weight of my slr. Thankfully my dad got a really good and sturdy one from a garage sale years ago and it’s perfect! The remote shutter makes it easier too. Must have tools!
