Have you ever loved a product so much that you need to a have back up of it? I sure do. As my blog name suggests, I am quite a collector of things. After doing some cleaning and organising, I gathered all the products I have duplicates of.
This post was also inspired by the awesome Cass from cassandramyee. If you haven’t seen her blog, please check it out because she has amazing beauty posts! She posted about her beauty back-ups a while back and I enjoyed reading what she had.
The first one I hoard is this Daiso makeup brush and sponge cleaner. As you can see, I love this stuff as I have three bottles of it. I wish they came in bigger bottles but for the price (3 for $10), I can’t really complain. I love using this to clean my Beauty Blender quickly. It does a really good job of getting all residue out. I will keep repurchasing this.
This Essence Cosmetics CC Cream is what I wear almost every day. I use this by itself or under foundation. This has been featured in a monthly favourites already. I’ve had a back-up for quite a while and when I took this photo, I’ve actually cut the top to get more product as I couldn’t squeeze any more out. Do you ever do that? I’m really thrifty and to get as much product as I can, I cut the tubes and scrape bottles to get every last drop especially if I love the product.
I’ve managed to have a few Benefit They’re Real minis. I had one more but I gave it to my sister. I loved this mascara and it used to be my favourite. This is the only expensive mascara I’ve ever bought and at the time, I thought it was the best. I have since tried the Benefit Rollerlash which I prefer more but I don’t think I’ll fork out this much for a mascara again.
I got these two off iHerb. I have oily lids and I realised I definitely need a primer if I want eyeshadows to last on me. I don’t wear eyeshadows often so I didn’t want to splurge on other brands. e.l.f. cosmetics is one of the cheapest makeup brands out there but they have good stuff especially if you’re just starting out on makeup.
I have oily skin and this Rimmel Stay Matte foundation used to be a favourite. I haven’t used this in months though but I realised I have an unopened back up for it. The shade is also darker than I am at the moment. I still like this but I have so many other foundations that I use more. I probably won’t repurchase this again. I got these from Asos on sale so they were much cheaper.
This Vaseline lip therapy has been featured in a monthly favourites before. I just love these. Since I discovered them over a year ago from a makeup sale, I can’t live without them. My lips haven’t been that dry or chapped ever since so I swear by this until I find a better lip balm.
Lastly, I have these Batiste dry shampoos. My body likes to be consistent so instead of just having an oily face, I also have an oily scalp. I need dry shampoo on days I don’t wash my hair so it doesn’t look like a greasy mess. I personally love the dark & deep brown and the XXL volume. The rest are okay and I switch them up depending on the scent. I don’t like to be low on this so I stock up whenever the makeup sale comes around.
I’m surprised I didn’t have more to be honest.
Do you have products you can’t live without that you just need to have multiples of them? Let me know down below.

I am glad that I am not alone in my hoarding tendencies! Great post!!

Definitely not but I’m trying not to get backups now in case I end up not liking the product down the line. Thank you! 🙂

Where do you normally buy your beauty products? Any recommended stores or sales to look out for?

It depends what beauty products or brands. I get Rimmel and Bourjois cosmetics from Asos. You can get elf, Real Techniques and other brands from iherb.
There are also makeup sales that come around every few months. The rest I buy in stores like Farmers, warehouse or Smith & Caugheys.

wooow!! I never buy anything in multiples but I would love to if they’re on sale/discount.

I only buy backups if they’re one sale or really cheap that’s why all of these products aren’t high end makeup/beauty products. 🙂

Wow! I don’t have multiples of anything. It takes me so long to get through products because I always have a million of them, and I like to change and try new things all the time too.

I’m surprised! I thought having backups is quite common with beauty bloggers but then again you are trying a lot of products too.
I’m trying not to buy backups anymore so I don’t waste money if down the line I realise I don’t like it like them (like Rimmel Stay Matte foundation).

Yeah I tend to have a variety of different things – like several mascaras but not several of the same thing. Same with moisturisers and whatnot.
