Beauty Vault Haul

As you may know, I’m a member of Beauty Review which is this great NZ website where you look at beauty products, review them and engage with other members. it has a forum which a good way to know new products, good deals and meet people.

BR also has a Beauty Vault which members get to ‘buy’ products using their points gained from writing reviews and posting in the forums. I managed to grab a few things from the points I’ve accumulated over the past few months which is great because I basically get to try all these new products for free.

See below what I’ve chosen from the vault.

Bump eRaiser Zesty Antibacterial Wash ($17.95)

I got this because I suffer from ingrown hairs and I haven’t seen a product like this before. This claims to remove excess oil to prevent ingrown hairs, bumps and breakouts to occur. It has tea tree oil, orange oil and guarana.

I’ve used this for quite some time now but I honestly haven’t seen a difference. I don’t know if I’m not using it right but I’ve actually noticed more ingrown hairs on my legs since I started using this and it made my legs so itchy when the hair was growing back. I’ve been using this 2-3 times a week so I don’t know if I should use it more or less but so far I haven’t seen results and I’m almost halfway through the bottle already.

Caithy Organic Rosehip Oil ($24.90)

I’ve started using face oils this year. I’ve tried a couple of brands from iHerb and I’m currently using the Trilogy Rosehip Oil. The Trilogy oil is slightly more expensive (the 20ml is $23.90) and this is 30ml and I didn’t have to pay for it. I thought I’ll give this one a try.

This rosehip oil claims to improve the appearance of scars, stretch marks and uneven skin tone. I hope this does what it says. I love the Trilogy oil and I shall see if this is also up to scratch.

The Herb Farm Headache Away Cream ($9.50)

This is meant to ease sinus, head and neck pain. It has a minty smell which I love. I’ve used this a couple of times and I have this in my work bag. I like this and I think it helps. It doesn’t completely take the headache away but the minty smell is relaxing. It’s also not bad if you have a blocked nose. I’ve been sick for a week and this was good to sniff to help me breathe better.

Moreish Anew Exfoliator ($20)

I have seen and heard about this NZ brand but I haven’t tried any of the products. I picked up the exfoliator which is made of 100% organic moroccan argan oil. I haven’t tried this yet as I want to finish my current one but I am quite excited. I love the packaging and that it comes in a tube which will be easier to get product out until the very end.

Eco Tan by Sonya Driver Pink Himalayan Salt Scrub ($39.95)

This is another product I’m excited to try. This is an Australian brand and I think it’s mainly to remove fake tan. However, I think it would be good to use with our without fake tan to exfoliate anyway. This claims to target stretch marks, dry flaky skin and cellulite.

I’m currently using a coffee scrub that claims to target similar things so I’m curious to see what this salt scrub can do. I find it interesting that the direction said use on dry skin prior to showering. I usually apply my coffee scrub in the shower while I’m deep conditioning my hair and I find it easier to apply if my body is wet.

Eco Tan Winter Skin ($34.95)

Another one from the Eco Tan brand is this gradual tanning moisturiser. I haven’t used a product like this before. I usually just fake tan my legs using the Sally Hansen Airbrush legs so I have to get used to this. I’ll definitely be using this closer to summer time because my legs are currently so pasty from being hidden all winter. I’ve smelled it from the bottle and I’m not a big fan of the scent but I can get past that since I won’t be putting it on my face or upper body anyway.

That’s about it for my haul. Because I got this from my beauty review points, I only had to pay for shipping which was $12.95. I think that’s a fantastic deal considering I got $147.25 worth of products. There were other great products in the beauty vault but I had my eye on these. I can’t wait to build up more points for the next one.

If you’ve tried any of these products, please let me know if they worked for you or not. I’ll definitely be doing a proper review of them on Beauty Review and these may show up in an empties or favourites post in here too.

Awesome haul! I love beauty review and the vault, and managed to get myself some goodies in the last one too, one of which is the bump eraser. I honestly haven’t used it enough to make a decision on it though. The next vault is only 52 days away. Yay!

great picks Cass! You have got some good deals!
Initially when i saw that bump eraiser, I was having high expectations- sad to hear it didn’t work…I suffer from in-grown hairs and now- i m left with marks- One way to get rid of it is exfoliation immediately after waxing- and fr scar removal- i used bio oil for a while- it didn;t show much difference…Now, i m using argan oil…

Do try Life Flo rosehip oil from iherb..It’s some amazing reviews…I m using trilogy rosehip oil atm.

You mistook me for Cass which j don’t mind because she’s an awesome blogger 🙂

It sounds like a good product but it just didn’t deliver. I used to use bio oil but never saw results but I like he trilogy oil I’m using now but only on my face since it’s too expensive to use all over.

I’ll keep that life flo rose hip oil in mind for my next iherb order. Thanks!

I posted my beauty haul last week, we got some of the same things! I found the bump eraiser to be nothing special either, and I agree with you about dry skin and exfoliators not working particularly well together! I am jealous of the Moreish, I’ll be watching to see how you go 🙂
