thrift haul black dress

Thrift Haul

It has been a while since I posted a thrift haul but I have thrifted a few times these past two months. I will break it down into two posts so this is the stuff I got from Savemart and Recycle Boutique. I’ll save the other one for another day because I don’t want this to be too long.

If you want to see what I got including the awesome dress above which I wore to NZ Fashion Week, click below.

I’ll start off with this awesome black drop hem frill dress. I saw this at the kids section at Savemart and I got so excited. It doesn’t have a label but the fabric and quality of this dress feels good. It is a thick and almost neoprene material so it’s not figure-hugging.

I wore this dress to NZ Fashion Week. I have an outfit post of this coming soon but a sneak peak is this shot taken by Ciara of rheiid.

The next one is this red blazer. I have a weakness for blazers and I tend to accumulate them. I like having different colours and I didn’t have a red one until I found this.

The last thing I got from Savemart is this striped dress.

thrift haul striped dressI love stripes and I think they will never go out of style. This is just a simple striped dress with an asymmetrical hem. It’s easy to wear and also really comfortable. This will be great for casual days out.

These two things below were from Recycle Boutique. I usually check Recycle Boutique after work because it’s in the city. I really love this place for branded clothing.

thrift haul lover skirtI was initially attracted to the colour of this skirt and I love the pleats. I was surprised at how cheap it was too considering it is a Lover skirt. LOVER is an Australian designer label and I love their clothes.

Hi There was one that I really liked so I didn’t hesitate when I saw this floral top in my size. This is something I could easily wear to work too.

Thrifting or opshopping is definitely my favourite type of shopping. I have found so many amazing things in thrift stores and I think around 80% of my clothes are actually thrifted. I have been reminded that I promised to write about my top thrift stores/opshops I go to. I am definitely still planning on writing about it so don’t you worry. It is on the to-do list so come back in a couple of weeks if you want to know my favourite places to shop.

I hope you all have a good Monday. Work usually dampens the mood but today marks my blog’s 6 months! I can’t believe how quickly time has passed. It has been 6 months since I launched this blog and I have done almost 100 posts. I hope you’ve been enjoying my posts as much as I do and please let me know what you think of it so far. I’d love some feedback!

Oooh congratulations on your 6 month blogiversary! ^_^

Ah – that is what I’m going to miss about not working in the city anymore…. the abundance of shops and eateries available within a short walk! 😦

I love that skirt I got one from nzsale but… doesn’t fit me but I too, love the pleats – may have to check out some thrifting! Hopefully more luck in sizes since I’m a tiny person~ >_<

Thanks Maggie! Did you move or change work? When did that happen?
I always recommend opshops because I love it so much but not everyone enjoys rummaging through the piles and racks of clothing though. Sizes are mixed too so you really have to look. I did an opshopping tips post a while back that may be useful 🙂
