I’m back with a beauty haul which I got a while ago from one of the Big Bucket deals. I always like checking the sale out when they’re in town because I never know what I’d find.
I know I don’t need any more makeup but I love trying new things and getting them on sale makes me feel a little big better about my purchase.

I went to the sale without wanting a specific item. I just browsed and picked up things I liked.
Let’s start off with the face products.
I got two face primers: Maybelline Master Prime ($16) and the Rimmel Fix & Perfect ($10). I have the Rimmel Fix & Perfect Pro and I really liked it so I decided to get this one which is a tinted version of it. I got it in the shade 001 but it’s not actually that light and more of a medium tone.
The Maybelline Master Prime also has a sheer rosy tint because it’s meant to illuminate and blur. It smells great and feels nice on the skin. I like how it has SPF 30 too.
I got the L’oreal UV Perfect moisturising lotion ($12) because it has SPF 50 which will be great for this summer. I was choosing between this and the Shisheido Sun Protection Lotion but that was more expensive. I haven’t properly used this yet but I’ll definitely be using it soon as it’s getting hotter here in NZ.
I also got a small sample size of the Dior Eyes Essential serum ($2) and a backup of the L.A. Girl Pro setting spray ($7).
There weren’t any good foundations in the sale but I did find these two concealers. I’ve been meaning to try the L.A. Girl Pro Conceal since everyone raves about it. This was $5 so I just had to give it a go. I’ve been using it and I like it. It’s high coverage but I didn’t like the brush applicator at first.
the Maybelline Master Conceal ($14) looks similar to the L.A. Girl Pro conceal but it more expensive. It’s quite thick but also high coverage. I like both concealers but I prefer the Maybelline one just because I have it in a lighter shade. I didn’t find any lighter shades on the Pro Conceal except for what I have which is in Natural.
Next up are some W7 products. I’ve reviewed W7 products before and the brand hasn’t disappointed me yet. I really like the W7 eyeshadow palettes and the Absolute Lashes mascara is pretty good too.
They had a 2 for $10 deal so I got the Lashtastic mascara, Brow Twister, Chunky Cheeks and the Chunky Bronzer. I’ve only tried the Chunky Cheeks blush and Chunky Bronzer though. These two are my first cream products in stick form. I got the blush in the shade Tokyo which is a nice pink colour. The bronzer is called the Hawaiian bronzer. Between the two, I like the bronzer more because it’s good for a precise contour. It’s a good shade on me as it’s not orangey at all. They both blend well too.
Moving on to nails, I went a bit nail polish crazy in the sale. There were so many pretty colours and I just wanted to get them all.
In the red box is the Essie quick-e drying drops ($5). I absolutely love this. I’ve tried fast-drying top coats before but I’ve never tried one that is in a dropper form and I much prefer this because it doesn’t have to touch the nails. It does the job at drying my nails in a short time.
For the actual polishes, I picked up three from Essie. I’ve already posted about the red shade on the left which is e-nuf is e-nuf. The pink shade in the middle is fiesta and the light blue-grey is called truth or flare.
Since this haul, I’ve become fond of Essie nail polishes. They’re not the best I’ve tried but they have such a great colour selection. I won’t ever pay for them full price but I’ll definitely consider them on sale for around $8. They were also doing a deal of 3 for $15 which I didn’t realise until after so I got nail polish for $8 and the rest were $5. Not bad!
I have Fiesta on my nails above. It’s such a gorgeous bright pink shade perfect for summer. I’ve also featured this nail polish in my Love Pink blog post which was about Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The other polishes are from L.A. Colors and L.A. Girl. I get quite confused with these two brands
The one on the left is the L.A. Colors gel extreme shine polish in Mademoiselle ($2). I’ve never tried gel polishes and I wanted to see how different this is without needing a UV light. I’ve tried this last week and the colour is pretty but the brush is huge. The other is the L.A. Colors color craze polish in Confetti ($3). It has mutli-coloured glitter speckles which looks pretty on top of a solid colour.
The one on the right is the L.A. Girl Splatter polish in Spatter. This was also featured in my Essie e-nuf is e-nuf post for my accent nail. I love the white and blue speckles.
Lastly, I nabbed some for my hair. I got another backup of the Batiste Dry Shampoo in dark & deep brown which is my favourite. I also got the Argan Oil hydrating hair mask. I’ve tried this before and I liked it. It’s good for $6.
What I missed in this photo is the L’oreal Brow Artist Plumper which appeared in the feature photo. I got a backup of that because I absolutely love it and it’s the best brow gel mascara I’ve tried so far.
That’s it for my beauty haul. If you want to see a review or swatch of a specific product, let me know. I have quite a few products in this haul I haven’t properly tested yet but I will get around to it eventually.
I hope you all have a great day and thank you for checking out my blog! I can’t believe I’ve had this baby for 8 months! Time flies by when you’re having fun, right?
