Talk Beauty NZ Haul Part 2

Here’s the final instalment of my Talk Beauty NZ haul. Last week, I shared Part 1 of the goodie bag contents and today I’ll be sharing the rest of what we received after attending Talk Beauty NZ.

There are still a lot of products to to talk about so if you enjoyed Part 1, continue below and see the other goodies!

If you didn’t read part 1, here are all the products inside one goodie bag.

We took home a massive bag with the products above, a bag with Mary Kay makeup, Skincare from Enbacci and a Gem Box.

The rest of the products that weren’t included in my last post are mostly from Australis, Collection Cosmetics, Mellow, Maybelline and Skinfood.

Australis Cosmetics were really generous as we received the AC ON Tour Contouring & Highlighting cream palette, two Velourlips and two of the Metallix eyeshadows.

I have the powder version of the AC On Tour contouring & highlighting palette but I haven’t given it a proper try yet. I personally haven’t tried cream contouring so I’m a bit scared but excited to give it a go. I don’t know if all the shades in the palette would work for me either since it’s meant to be for a light complexion.

The two Velourlips Matte Lip Cream shades I got were San Fran-Disco (the bright orange-red) and Mum-bai (the dark brown/purple). I already have two Velourlips as I bought them when I was in Melbourne (check out my big Melbourne Beauty Haul). I like them but I do find them quite drying on the lips.

I was tempted to buy these Metallix eyeshadows in Melbourne too but I didn’t in the end so I’m glad I have them in my life now. I have the shades Gold Gaga (bottom left) and Guns and Rose Petals (top middle). I’ve swatched them and they’re really glittery and sparkly. I’m excited to use them.

Next up is Maybelline and I was happy to see a few products too.

I got the Baby Lips Colorlips in Berry Crush, Color Show nail polish in Show Me The Green, Super Stay Lip Liner in 47 Brown, Dream Pure BB Cream and two Color Molten eyeshadows.

I’ve tried the Dream Pure BB Cream before and I quite like it so it’s nice to have it back in my collection. I haven’t tried any of the Maybelline Color Show nail polishes so I’m looking forward to seeing how good it lasts.

I also like the look of the eyeshadow palettes. They’re a nice compact size. I have 300 Nude Rush which has the peachy/brown shades and 304 Saphhire Mist with the grey and blue eye shadows.

I was excited  to see these two Mellow lipsticks inside. I’ve heard of this NZ brand before as they are cruelty-free, vegan and paraben-free.

I got two of their Ultra Matte lipsticks. The pink on the left is the shade Candy Floss while the red is called Danger Zone. The shades are something I’d wear too because I love bright pinks and reds.

collection cosmetics haul foundation lipstick concealer

I got three products from Collection Cosmetics: the Colour Match foundation, Illuminating Touch concealer and the Lasting Colour lipstick in Pretty in Peach.

I haven’t tried any Collection foundation and I’m interested to see how this Colour Match foundation works on my skin because it says it adapts to your skin colour and it’s good it has UV in the formula. I’ve tried the Illuminating Touch concealer and unfortunately, the shade isn’t a good match for me. I also received one in my September Beauty Box. The lipstick is a nice shade too.

This next one came in a big green Skinfood box.

I have the Skinfood Mud Masque, Facial Wipes and Renew certified organic coconut oil. I’ve tried the mud masque before. It’s not the best face mask I’ve tried but it is still pretty good considering Skinfood is a fairly affordable brand. I’m glad to have facial wipes too because on a weekday, I take my work makeup off using wipes since I don’t have too much on.

As for the coconut oil, I haven’t heard about this before but I’m willing to give it a go. Hopefully it will do wonders for my skin!

Weleda is the last brand which we received multiple products from.

We got given sample sizes of their Skin Food Creme, Almond Sensitive Hand Cream and Almond Sensitive Body Lotion. These are great sizes for travelling or to put inside my handbag.

The rest are individual products from different brands:

I have only tried one product from Elizabeth Arden before and it was their black eyeliner pencil which was really good and long-lasting. When I saw that our goodie bag had one product from EA, I got pretty excited. This is the Sunkissed Pearls Cream Eyeshadow Stylo in the shade blue pearl. It’s basically an eyeshadow pencil. The pencil-like tip makes this a good eyeliner too if you’re bored of the usual black.

I didn’t know what this was at first but upon closer inspection, it’s the Williamspro #Selfieglo highlighter. It comes in this little pot and the design makes it easy to tip just enough product. I’ve swatched it a few times and it’s a golden-shimmery highlighter.

Besides the Cailyn Cosmetics O! Wow Brush, we also got The Body Shop stippling face brush.

There was also a full-sized tube of the Olive pomegranate hand & nail cream and a Billion Dollar Brows universal brow pencil. I actually ran out of the BDB brow pencil so I’m really happy we received one in the goodie bag because I now have it back in my life. This brow pencil is what I use every day for work.

vanishink temporary tattoos talkbeautynz

The last product inside our goodie bags was the VanishINK temporary tattoos. I’ve never tried temporary tattoos before but they look pretty cool. I feel like I need to go to a festival so I can use them because this gives me Coachella-vibes.

This last thing was not included in the goodie bag but I won it during the event. We all had glittery name tags and at the end, we gave it back to Brittany who organised the whole Talk Beauty NZ event. My name was drawn out of all the attendees and I won my first pair of Quay Australia sunglasses!

I believe these are the KITTI frames. If you’ve seen my old posts, you’d know I have a growing sunglasses collection because I just can’t get enough. I’m happy to have this pair as my latest addition.

I hope you’ve liked this haul and this completes my Talk Beauty NZ goodies. I wasn’t lying when I said there were a lot, right?! I still can’t believe how much we got given. I didn’t expect anything when I bought the tickets as I just wanted to go to my first beauty event and meet other bloggers.

If you want to see a more in-depth review or swatches of any products I’ve featured here and in Part 1, let me know. I think it’s been a long time since I’ve had swatches on my blog.

I said this once before on instagram but that is seriously an amazing goodie bag! Also would love to hear your thoughts on the Australis contour kit? I’ve heard such mixed reviews on that product but it’s so affordable compared to the higher end products like Anastasia Beverly Hills or Kat Von D! x

It truly is! Up to this day I still can’t believe how much products were in there. I’ve heard mixed reviews on it too but I got the powder version last year which I haven’t really tested yet so I might do a comparison/review of the powder and cream versions. 🙂

It looks like it was such a fun event!! I’m keen to see what you think of the AC cream palette, and Metallix eyeshadows! I have a few of the other products in here – and really like Collection products in general!
So cool that you won some sunnies too! oxoxo

It really was. I didn’t expect anything before the event either as I’ve never been to a beauty one before but it set the bar pretty high. Haha
Have you tried any other contouring palettes? The Australis AC palette in powder and cream versions are the only ones I have and I might do a comparison post. 🙂

Your idea is spot on! I thought about this on the bus yesterday that I might do a review/comparison of the cream and powder contouring palettes. I’ve had the powder one since last year but I haven’t properly tested it out. I shall report on the blog once I’ve put them both to the test. 🙂
