I wore this outfit back in Valentines Day and I’ve been meaning to share it properly on here. I finally had the time to take outfit photos a few weeks back so here it is.

This is exactly what I wore on Valentines Day while out and about. I also talked about what we did on the day in my February Highlights blog post.

Both the heart print pinafore dress and white crop top were from Asos. The white sandals is from Country Road.

I’ve had this pinafore dress for a few years and I haven’t really worn it for a long time. I kept it because it’s something different and I haven’t found anything like this in the stores here in NZ.

I’m not gonna lie, I did feel a bit childish in this outfit. I found it too cutesy. However, I felt that it was appropriate on Valentines Day and it was a fun outfit. Fashion is about having fun and it’s great to sometimes go out of your comfort zone.

I paired it with a plain white crop top underneath because the pinafore itself was already busy. It also went well with my white jelly sandals from Country Road which I’ve been wearing a lot this summer. The sandals are so comfy and I love the rose gold metal bar detail in the front.

I didn’t add a necklace in this outfit and opted for a bright lip instead because I found that my Topshop Lips lipstick in Ditsy was an almost perfect match to the pinafore dress. My sunglasses are Quay Australia which was a prize I won at Talk Beauty NZ.

I kept the jewellery minimal as well with just two rings from Lovisa and my favourite Fossil Jacqueline watch.

The Topshop bag above is my latest bag purchase. I didn’t have it back in February and I wore a similar black cross body bag like it but that one is now broken. I thought the Topshop bag was a perfect match to the outfit too because of the gold hardware.
