Last week, I was invited to the Eye of Horus beauty event where we were introduced the current and latest products from the brand.
I’ve heard about Eye of Horus for quite some time. However, I haven’t tried anything from the brand yet so I was quite excited to have a proper introduction of what the brand has to offer.
A few bloggers including myself were welcomed with drinks and nibbles and we were introduced to Aimee, one of the owners of the brand.
Towards the end of the room was this table full of the Eye of Horus products.
The brand has eyebrow pencils, liquid eyeliner, pencil eyeliners, mascaras and eyeshadows.
The two latest additions to the range are the liquid metal liners and the baked eyeshadows.
The liquid metal liners come in four shades: Silver, Copper, Bronze and Gold. These are amazing and they do not budge as I swatched them on my hand at the event.
The baked eyeshadow comes in four colour palettes. They’re Italian baked shadows that can be used wet or dry.
The baked eyeshadow palettes have three shades each. I was drawn to the shimmery gold and bronze shades and they swatched beautifully on my hand.
Aimee (on the right) explained the background of Eye of Horus, the reasoning behind the name and the brand ethos. Eye of Horus is an Australian brand from Byron Bay which Aimee started with her friend. They chose the name Eye of Horus because it means protection. The brand is cruelty-free, paraben-free and they only use natural ingredients.
It was interesting for me to learn more about the brand and I have a better understanding of what the brand is all about. If you want to know more, check out their website.
We were also given insider information that the brand will be releasing a vegan mascara and lip products this year.
When the event finished, we were given a goodie box to take home and I was so excited to finally try some of the products.
The packaging and promotional photos of the brand look amazing. We were so lucky to be given a few different products to try.
Here’s a sneak peak:
They were so generous and I’m really excited to give each product a go. I’ve tried the liquid metal liners already but I will have a separate post of the haul and swatches.
The photo above is when I tried the copper and gold liquid metal liners when I got home from the event. I really love the copper shade!
Come back to my blog in a couple of weeks for a review and swatches of the products I’ve been given. From what I’ve tried so far, I’m pretty impressed.
If you’ve tried anything from the Eye of Horus brand, let me know. I want to know your recommendations!

I’ve never tried Eye of Horus before but after seeing how amazing those metallic liners look that may need to be changed. Looking forward to your reviews x

It was great being able to try all the products in the event and it made me want to try more from the range too. Their eyebrow pencil looks so similar to the ABH Brow wiz btw. Everyone that has tried their products seem to love it so I have pretty good expectations. 🙂
