Current Beauty Favourites

This is my first beauty favourites post for this year. I don’t use too many new products to do a monthly favourites but I now have quite a lot of products to share with you that I’ve been currently loving.

This post has a mix of makeup, skincare, haircare plus my current go-to fragrance. See them all down below.

I’ll start of with my makeup favourites:

beauty favourites maybelline super stay 24 foundation dermalogica primer

I got this Maybelline Super Stay 24 Foundation at a makeup sale and I was so glad they had the shade that was a pretty good match to mine. I got it in 030 Sand and this is the only foundation that I’m using right now. It is amazing and works so well on my oily skin. This lasts all day without my face turning into an oil slick and it doesn’t feel heavy or look cakey. I’m seriously in love with it and we’ve been inseparable ever since.

I got the Dermalogica Hydrablur Primer from Talk Beauty NZ. This was a sample size but I’ve used this a couple of times and a little goes a long way for me. It does a good job of blurring pores and it doesn’t feel greasy.

beauty favourites makeup cosmetics mascara blush eyebrow pencil

These three above have been a staple in my makeup routine too.

beauty favourites nyx cosmetics baked blush BBL11 CHIFFON

This NYX Baked Blush in BBL11 Chiffon is the one I’ve been reaching for the most. The packaging says blush + illuminator + bronzer and you can use it for all but I mainly just apply this on my cheeks. I love this colour as it looks fairly natural if applied lightly and it suits my skin tone quite well. The shimmer doesn’t bother me as a blush either as I find it quite subtle.

beauty favourites anastasia beverly hills brow wiz

I got this Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz from my makeup.co.nz haul. I have it in dark brown and I just love the pencil because it is so small so I can draw lines to look like brow hairs. The brush at the end is so handy too and I now know why this product is hyped up. It’s quite good.

beauty favourites max factor masterpiece transform mascara

I’ve also featured this Max factor Masterpiece Transform mascara in my 2015 favourites. It was my favourite last year and at the time I took these blog photos (just over a week ago), this was the only mascara I was using. I know it’s time for me to throw it away because I’ve had it for way too long but I still love it.

I have special mention to the Eye of Horus Goddess Mascara though. I’ve been using it for a couple of days and I’m seriously loving it. It has replaced the Maxfactor one above and so far, I actually thing the Eye of Horus mascara is better because of how well it holds a curl. I’ll have a proper blog post about the EOH products soon.

beauty favourites karen walker A perfume fragrance

Moving on to a fragrance, I’ve been loving my Karen Walker A perfume. It doesn’t look like I’ve used it from looking at the bottle but I have been reaching for it a lot recently. It’s a beautiful scent and it lasts a long time on me. You can check out my Perfume Collection for more details such as the actual notes in the perfume.

current beauty favourites haircare eleven australia miracle hair treatment

As for haircare, I have two products that I’ve been using almost every single time I wash my hair.

I absolutely love the Eleven Australia Miracle Hair Treatment. I’m so happy it was included in our Talk Beauty NZ goodie bag. It’s amazing and it does wonders to my hair. I apply it on damp hair after I have a shower and it makes it smooth and soft.

I’ve also been loving the Pantene Styling Treatment Mist Soft Curls. I usually have my hair wavy as you can see in all my outfit photos. I think this product has helped besides sea salt spray. I achieve the waves by twisting my damp hair then sleeping on it overnight. I spray this before I twist my hair and I wake up with nice waves that last all day. This smells good too.

beauty favourites skincare garnier miracle wake up cream trilogy cleansing balm

Moving on to skincare, I have two that I really like at the moment and they both come in tubs.

The Trilogy Make-Up Be Gone Cleansing Balm was in the September Beauty Box. This is the first cleansing balm I’ve tried and I love it. It really breaks down my makeup so it’s great at taking it off with a warm flannel. I don’t use it every day as my work makeup is super light but on the weekends, this is my go-to when I wear more makeup.

I was kindly sent the Garnier Miracle Wake Up Cream and I’ve been using it ever since. It comes in this bright pink tub and it smells quite fragrant. I love the texture of it and it feels so smooth on the skin. It feels more like a primer and so I feel like it smoothens my skin before I apply makeup. I haven’t tried anything from Garnier in a while but I was quite impressed with this.

You can see from the photo above that some of the products I mentioned above have been a part of my morning routine. I forgot to add that Lush Breath of Fresh Air toner water on this list too but it has also been a staple of mine. I’m almost out of it and I’m pretty sure I will repurchase it. I’m way overdue for a lush haul.

So these are my current favourites. I have a few things I’m trialling right now and I’ll share if I love them too in my next favourites.

Let me know if you’ve tried any of the products above and if you liked them too.
