The days are getting colder and I almost can’t get away with wearing just a sleeveless top or bare legs. I like midi dresses though because the length covers just enough which is good for this autumn/fall season.

I particularly like this grey midi dress with pleating on one side. I kept this outfit simple with is good for a dinner or date night. See the full outfit details below.

This dress is from Cotton On and I picked it up at Sylvia Park at the start of the year. It was on sale for $10 so I couldn’t resist.

It’s a light knit material and it’s soft so it feels nice on. There are pleats on one side which I found quite flattering and it gives the dress more shape. I usually refrain from figure-hugging dresses like bodycon dresses but this one was an exception. I think the pleating nicely accentuates the hips and it’s also more forgiving if I had a big meal.

Since the dress is neutral, I wanted a bright pop of colour. This pink necklace above did the trick. I can’t remember where exactly I got the necklace from but it’s either Equip (now Lovisa) or Farmers.

For footwear, I opted for these nude heels from Rubi Shoes. They appeared in this haul post a while back and I love them because they go with almost everything.

The only other jewellery I wore is this Stardust bracelet from Swarovski. It’s simple and the colours actually match the dress.

For an everyday look, I’d pair this midi dress with slip-ons or plain converse sneakers. If it’s cold, this would look good with a leather jacket on top too.
