One of the online stores I buy beauty products from is iHerb. It is basically a treasure trove and you can get so many things like food, supplements, skincare and makeup. It is where I usually get e.l.f. cosmetics too.
Today, I have a haul of my latest two orders from iHerb. It’s a mix of beauty and skincare so if you want to see what I chose, click below.
This was my latest order from the site and I didn’t just limit it to beauty products.
The main reason I wanted to make an order was because they had the e.l.f. Acne Fighting Foundation. I’ve been wanting to try this for the longest time but since e.l.f. isn’t easily available here in NZ, I had no other way of buying it until iHerb finally stocked it.
They only had three shades in stock and I bought the shade Porcelain which was a mistake because it’s too light. However, winter is coming up so I’ll be a bit paler and I could also mix it with my other foundations. I’ve used it a couple of times and the formula is thicker but I like it so far.
I also picked up the Grandpa’s Thylox soap to try. I don’t suffer from terrible acne any more but I do get hormonal breakouts. I’ve tried the Nubian Heritage African black soap which I liked but I thought I’d try something different. I use this to cleanse my face in the shower and it leaves my skin squeaky clean. Some reviews talked about the scent but I personally don’t mind it.
I was not after a brush set but I saw this Madre Labs mini-brush set in the sale section for $3 so I added it to my cart. The brushes are teeny tiny but it would be handy for travelling. The pouch is way too small to fit all four brushes though.
Also from the sale section was this Madre Labs Argan Oil Hand Cream. I also didn’t intend on getting a hand cream as I have way too much but this was 15 cents. I expected it to be sample sized too but it’s actually a decent size so it was definitely a bargain.
The last thing in my order was this Alpha-Lipoic Acid 150 capsules. I buy my vitamins and probiotics from iHerb too so I thought I’d give this one a go because during my last health check at work, I was told I have a high blood sugar level. This is said to maintain a healthy blood sugar level. I don’t expect this to solve the issue but if it would help then why not.
This was another order of mine from the start of the year so I’ve had time to use the products and can give you a review.
I didn’t go too crazy in this order but it was all about hands and lips.
I got the Nubian Heritage Hand Cream Trio. The set has the Indian Hemp, Mango Butter and African Black Soap hand creams. I gave the Mango Butter tube to my sister because she loves the Mango Butter body scrub but I had the Indian Hemp & Haitian Vetiver cream in my desk drawer at work and I like it. It can feel greasy if I put too much cream on but overall, it does the job at moisturising my hands.
I cannot live without lip balms and stick lip balms like these tend to disappear into oblivion. They’re like bobby pins or hair ties for me. I tend to lose them often so I got this Blistex Medicated Lip Balm 3-pack. I find this moisturising and I like that it has SPF 15. I have one at work and one in my bag.
I also got this Blistex Medicated Lip Ointment. This is when my lips are super dry. Thankfully I don’t get chapped or flaky lips but during winter or if I’ve been wearing lipstick all day, my lips can get really dry. This solves that problem for me. I don’t recommend using this every day and only for when my lips need it.
It’s nice and minty when you put it on but it is white but it will dry to a clear glossy finish. I only ever use this at night too before bed and I wake up with soft, hydrated lips in the morning.
If you haven’t ordered from iHerb before, I recommend you check it out. The prices are cheap and shipping is reasonable too. I always choose the cheapest shipping option and I’ve never had a problem with it. Shipping times vary though but I’ve always received my orders.
If you’re planning on making your first order, you can use my affiliate code (BWT513) to get $5-10 off your first order. That’s another reason to head over there and shop! 😉
If you have ordered from iHerb before, let me know what your favourite purchase is.

iherb is so good! I’m itching to make another order already. I’m almost out of my Queen Helene Mint Julep mask.
