Last month, I went to a beauty event by Bourjois Paris. It was on a Monday afternoon and it made my day because it was a beautiful way to rediscover the brand. We were introduced to their upcoming products and rediscovered their classics.
We also got to take home a goodie bag with the four products pictured above. I haven’t tried any of them before so I was really excited.
I’ll start with photos from the event first.
We were greeted with a glass of champagne and wonderful canapés. There were a lot of macarons too which is very fitting for this French brand.
They had their bestsellers in a table which included the Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks, Healthy Mix foundation and Healthy Balance powder.
I’ve actually tried and love their foundation and powder. I’ve written a blog post about them last year so if you want to see a review, head over here.
The new products coming out soon include the City Radiance Foundation. I’m looking forward to trying this because I love Bourjois foundations and this is meant to protect the skin with the anti-pollution formula.
They’re also launching new mascaras: Volume Glamour and the Twist Up the Volume Mascara with a transformable brush.
We also got a sneak peek of the Les Nudes Palette. The packaging is lovely and the front part with the mirror twists so it’s good to bring in your bag. I love the illustration and it’s Parisian.
One of Bourjois’ best sellers are these Rouge Edition Velvet lipsticks. They come in so many colours and they’re bringing out more too.
The event was great because I learnt more about the brand. I didn’t know the Bourjois makeup started in 1863 as I’ve only heard about the brand around 5 years ago. The brand has been in the industry for a long time and if I remembered correctly, they started the baked blush trend.
As I mentioned earlier, we got to take home a goodie bag and inside were 4 lovely products I’ve never tried before.
It also came with more product information and some NZ prices that you may find useful. The makeup looks are chic and seem effortless.
They made sure we’re covered in the lips, eyes and cheeks department as I got a mascara, blush, eyeshadow and lipstick.
This is the Volume Glamour Push Up mascara. I believe this is one of the new releases. I haven’t tried this one yet because I’m currently using three mascaras but I will update you on social media if I like this or not.
I finally have a Rouge Edition Velvet lipstick in my life! I have the shade 07 which is great because it’s wearable and close to my lip colour. This is a good every day shade. I’ve only tried this lipstick a few times but so far, I’m impressed. It feels really comfortable on the lips and I didn’t feel it to be too drying. I’m not fond of the scent but it’s something I could get over as it disappears after a while.
This one is the Eyeshadow Pot in Generose 02. This is my kind of shade because I rarely wear eyeshadow but this one could be used as a highlighter. It looks pretty as an inner corner highlight.
Lastly, I have the Baked Blush in Rose d’Or Golden Rose 34. From the event, I learnt that this is their revolutionary product at the time as Bourjois developed the baking process for these round blush pots. The blush still has the signature rose scent too which is lovely. The blush itself is nice with a bit of sheen to it.
I’m really excited to try use these products more and I know Bourjois is one of my favourite brands. Bourjois’ Healthy Mix Serum foundation and Healthy Balance powders are amazing and I recommend them.
Let me know if you’ve tried any of the products above as I’m interested to know what you think.

Looks like such a fun event, I love how they’ve mixed the round blushes through the macarons! I haven’t tried much Bourjois, but recently made the stupid decision of travelling without bringing a lipstick – two days in I hated not feeling like myself with my normal red lip and bought one of the rouge velvets, and it served me very well!
