Wet n wild makeup

Wet N Wild

For affordable makeup lovers out there, today is the day. Wet n Wild is finally launching in Farmers here in NZ. I’ve heard about Wet n Wild for years but since it’s impossible to get a hold of here in NZ, I’ve never tried any of their products before. The wait is over because from August 1, it will be stocked in selected Farmers stores and the website.

I was kindly sent a bunch of products last week and I’m sharing them with you so you know what to expect. I squealed when I saw the package. I was spoilt and I can’t wait to try them all.

Before I start, I haven’t tried these products properly (only swatches) as I was only sent them a few days ago but I love a good haul post so here it is. I’ll include the prices down too.

These are all the products I was sent. I can pretty much do a whole face of makeup using Wet N Wild and it’s something I’ll do eventually.

I’ll start off with the the base:

wet n wild foundation primer setting spray.jpg

On the left is the Coverall Face Primer. I applied this on my hand and it absorbed really nicely and without a sticky feel. I can’t comment if it works well but it says that it refines pores, fills lines and brightens and evens the skin tone. $12.99

In the middle is the Coverall Cream Foundation in Light/Medium. At first I thought this shade would be too dark but it’s actually a fairly good match for me. It says it is medium-full coverage with a matte finish. It’s $8.99 which is so cheap.

The right is the Photofocus Setting Spray. The mist isn’t the best as I had a few big splotches when I tried it for the first time but I think it does the job. $12.99.

wet n wild concealers

For concealer, I got two which is the Coverall Concealer Palette and Coverall Coverstick in Light Medium.

wet n wild cover all concealer palette

This concealer palette is $8.99 and has four different shades to brighten, neutralise redness, cover blemishes and highlight.

wet n wild coloricon blush rose champagne.jpg

For blush, I have the Coloricon Blush in Rose Champagne. I like this shade because it’s quite natural but just adds that extra warmth to my cheeks/face.  This is $6.99.

wet n wild coloricon bronzer.jpg

This Coloricon Bronzer in Reserve Your Cabana was also in the haul. The name says bronzer but the shade is quite light that it’s more of a powder for me. It does have shimmer though so it would probably more of a highlight instead. The upside is it has SPF15. $12.99

wet n wild megaglo highlighters.jpg

Speaking of highlighters, I was so excited to see these two inside the bag.

wet n wild megaglo highlighting powder crown of my canopy

This is the Megaglo highlighting powder in Crown of My Canopy. It’s a shimmery bronze highlighter. $12.99

wet n wild illuminating palette catwalk pink.jpg

Now this Megaglo Illuminating Palette in Catwalk Pink is so beautiful. It’s $12.99 which is great. You have four shades which you can use individually or together. I’ve only swatched this on my hands but I can tell I’ll like this very much.

wet n wild dulce de leche contouring palette

This is the Megaglo Contouring Palette in Dulce De Leche. It’s also $12.99 and you get two shades to highlight and contour. The contour shade works well for my skintone and the highlight shade is a fine powder too.

Moving on to the eyes:

wet n wild ultimate brow kit.jpg

This is the Ultimatebrow Kit in Ash Brown. It has a wax and two brown shades. I will use the darker shade more but I haven’t tried this one yet. It’s $8.99.

wet n wild mascaras.jpg

I also haven’t tried these but I got two mascaras: Maxfanatic Cat Eye Mascara and XXL Lash which is $8.99.

wet n wild comfort zone eyeshadow palette.jpgThe most exciting product for me was this Eyeshadow Palette in Comfort Zone.

I’ve heard their eyeshadow palettes are amazing and they’re labelled too for those who aren’t eyeshadow pros like me. I love the shades on the left side especially the definer one. This palette is $8.99 and that’s so cheap and amazing.

wet n wild eyeliner.jpg

I also got two eyeliners which are the Coloricon Kohl Eyeliner and Megaliner Liquid Eyeliner. Kohl eyeliner is $2.99 and liquid eyeliner is $6.99.

wet n wild lipsticks

I got a variety of lip products. From top to bottom:

  • Megaslicks Balm Stain in Red-dy Or Not
  • Megaslicks lip gloss in My Cherry Amour. $4.99
  • Velvet Matte Lip Colour in Turnt Orange
  • Megalast Lip Colour in Pink Suga’. $6.49

I love the two red shades as I’ll definitely wear them. Unfortunately Turnt Orange doesn’t show much on my lips and Pink Suga’ looks more of a concealer on mine.

Lastly, I also have these:

I have one nail colour which is the 1-step Wonder Gel Nail Colour in Pinky Swear. You can never have too much makeup remover wipes so I’m glad I have the Under the Sheets Remover Towelettes. I also have some fake lashes.

The blush brush is actually quite soft although I haven’t tested it out after being washed but it’s $6.99 so another affordable makeup brush.

I was absolutely spoilt for choice with this haul so thank you Wet n Wild beauty! As I mentioned above, they’re out in NZ from today and the price range is from $2.99-13.99 which is amazing. I’m all about affordable makeup so this brand is so up my alley. Wet n Wild is also cruelty-free which is an added bonus.

If you’re a makeup lover like me, definitely check out the range in Farmers and you better be in quick. If you’ve tried any of the products above, please let me know. I’d love to know your favourite Wet n Wild products too!

So people got their hands on their products quite early then. I expect it would fly off the shelves since they’re so affordable. I’ve only swatched the palette and I know I’m going to like it. I’ve only heard good things!
