Last weekend, I headed over to Avondale for the monthly NZ Bloggers Brunchclub at Rosebank Coffee & Kitchen. I’ve never been there but I’ve heard great things so I was pretty excited. My friend Lena of Lena Talks Beauty also organised it. I love trying new food places so I’m glad to have this place ticked off my long list.
I wish I took more photos of the interior but I got caught up just taking photos of our table and putting the goodie bags and name cards with Lena. The place is quite open with high ceilings and greenery. It was busy on a Saturday morning too.
Lena did a great job organising this brunch and is so cute personalising everything. We even had goodie bags so it felt like someone’s birthday party!
There were 13 of us who came and the food came out more like a banquet-style and we got to try three things from their menu.
The first one that came out was the Crispy Potato Skins with Shanghai mayo. These were good. The pieces were so big which isn’t something to complain about but I tried eating it with knife and fork but it was much better just grabbing the whole thing and dipping it into the yummy mayo.
This is the French Toast with banana toffee, citrus, grand marnier, salted cocoa crumble. This was my favourite but I wish we had this last because it would’ve been perfect way to end our brunch with this sweet goodness. Those balls on top were so good! From memory, they’re chocolate banana caramel balls and I could’ve had 10 of them in one go. SO DAMN GOOD.
Lastly, we tried the Rosebank Bene which has german hash, mushroom medley, free farmed bacon, poached eggs, chimichurri , martini saffron hollandaise sauce. This was also pretty good. The german hash was my favourite part of this dish.
Some of the girls also ended up taking some of the yummy-looking treats from the cabinet. I was particularly eyeing up the S’Mores Tart as it looked yum but I was too full.
Overall, we had such great service here and we all had a great time. It was great meeting new bloggers and catching up with ones that I haven’t seen in a while. If you want to check out the bloggers that went, see this recap post as there’s a list at the bottom of all the bloggers.
To add to our great brunch, the contents of the goodie bag made the day even better.

I’ve been using the Neutrogena Hydro Boost water gel in the morning and so far, I like it. It’s lightweight and has SPF15 too.
September’s Brunchclub was amazing and I can’t wait for October’s!
Looks like it was a really cool event! Hopefully I can make the next one! 😀
