The next part of our holiday adventure is Cape Palliser. I’ve been excited to write about this because it’s one of my favourite parts of our whole trip.

A few weeks ago we did a holiday road trip to explore the south-eastern side of the North Island. We planned a 10 day road trip and this post is part 1 of our trip. I really enjoyed this holiday and took way too many photos. I thought I’d break it up in 2-3 posts to really capture what we got up to.
This blog post will take you through our road trip from Auckland to Kuratau then to Martinborough.
Continue readingHoliday in Tapu, Coromandel
We just came back from a wonderful long weekend holiday in Tapu. The accommodation I booked for this trip was so amazing that it inspired me to write this post. I think it’s such a hidden gem so I wanted to share where we stayed and what we did.
Continue readingMy Top 2021 Books
Last year was a big year of reading for me. I ended up reading 101 books and my goal was only 40! I wasn’t expecting to read a lot but we did have lockdowns and reading really became a habit for me. It took me some time to choose my top books but 2021’s list is pretty damn good.
Continue readingBest of 2021
2021 has been a rough year. I thought it would be a better year than 2020 but the pandemic is still ongoing and lockdown hit me a lot harder this year. I’ve already posted what lockdown was like for me so I wanted my last blog post in 2021 to be a more positive one. I’ve put together the best parts of this year. From travel, experience, food I’ve had to best purchases, I’ve collated them all in this post. I looked back on the past year and picked out the good bits from this pretty shit year.
Continue readingAuckland lockdown 2021 ramblings
I’m writing this on day 70-something of Auckland being in lockdown. It’s the longest one we’ve had and honestly, it has been quite a roller coaster ride. There have been many ups and downs during this time. I thought I’d write my thoughts, feelings, reflections of how this lockdown has been for me. I think it’s good to keep some sort of a record of what it was like during this weird time.
Continue readingMid year life update and favourites
In what feels like a blink of an eye, we’re over halfway through 2021. I feel like a lot has happened since my last blog post and I haven’t done a life update in a while. Writing this was also slightly therapeutic for me so I thought I might as well post this and it’s something I can look back on. This is a mixture of what’s been going on in my life, things I’m looking forward to and some of my favourite things.
Continue readingChristchurch Trip
Back in February, we had a Christchurch trip. We were there for a wedding but I decided to make a mini holiday out of it as I haven’t really explored Christchurch at all. We had such an amazing time so I wanted to do a recap of it here. We stayed at 2 beautiful places and explored both the city and a seaside town.
How I shop secondhand
Most of the items in my wardrobe are actually secondhand. I don’t like paying full price on items because I know I can possibly get it cheaper. This is why I love secondhand shopping. Opshopping/Thrifting is something I’ve done for years but since last year, I really got into other ways to buy secondhand. I thought I’d share all the ways I find nice second hand items and my tips and tricks.
January 2021 Highlights
January is my birthday month. 2020 was a rollercoaster of a year so for this year, I want to focus more on the positives and good things. I thought it would be nice to look back on my highlights so I thought my birthday month and the first month of the new year would be a great start.
I actually did a lot of exciting and fun things in January so I’ve compiled them all down below.
