I know you might be over the new year resolutions posts by now but I wanted my first blog post in 2020 to be about my goals for the year. It’s 2020 and I turned 30 which is a milestone and instead of dreading turning 30, I’m going to embrace it and be grateful that I’ve been alive for three decades. In this post, I also want to talk about how I want to move forward with this blog as I’ve been thinking about it for quite some time.

Why I’ve been MIA
It’s been a while since my last blog post. It actually feels weird that I’m sat down with my laptop writing about this but I want to share why I have been silent over here. A lot happened the past few months and now I feel ready to share how I’ve been because for the first time in a long time, I actually feel like myself again.
My Mental Health Journey
This week, from 9th – 15th of October is Mental Health Awareness Week and today is the World Mental Health Day. I’ve had this post sitting in my drafts and I never thought I’d publish it because I don’t share overly personal things here. However, I don’t think I’ll have a more fitting day to post this and it’s about time we stop feeling embarrassed or scared talking about mental health.
I’ve had a tumultuous year to say the least and one of the biggest things I’ve realised is the importance of making sure I keep my mental health in check. Today, I’ll share how I’ve dealt with my mental health and how I boost my wellbeing.
2017: The Year of Change
I know it’s the end of January and I’m only just posting about the new year. However, if you knew what I’ve been through the past couple of weeks, you will understand. I would also usually cringe at the typical new year sayings like ‘new year, new beginning or new year, new me’ kind of thing but they are so true in my situation.
Life Update: My New Kitten
I’m back with another extra post for the week. Since it’s my birthday month and the start of 2016, I feel like I have so much more to share.
Two weeks ago, I had an extra post (25 Random Questions Tag) which was more personal. I touched on having a kitten then but I didn’t elaborate as we’ve only had him for a few days.
Today I want to share to everyone our little Turbo. If you love cats/kittens or want to know more on the adoption process, click below.
25 Random Questions
As I celebrated my birthday the past week, I thought I’d have an additional post for all of you if you want to get to know me better. I post mainly fashion and beauty here on the blog but it’s nice to be a bit more personal.
The first one I did was the Taking Stock post and that was well received. I searched the internet for another tag question and I found one on Chapter Friday.

Taking Stock
Today’s post is a little bit different but I was inspired by a few NZ bloggers who have answered this Taking Stock list. My blog turned 6 months yesterday too and I have thought of doing this when I hit this mark. This is outside my usual posting schedule but I hope you enjoy this more personal post.
