The busiest week in fashion is done and dusted and after an exciting (but exhausting) week of going to shows, I thought I’d round up my third NZ Fashion Week here on the blog. I went to 13 shows in total which is a feat for me since I attended shows in between work. This year’s fashion week has been the best so far and I have so many highlights.

NZFW: CLEO Presents RUBY & HOLY CHIC
This is my last runway post from NZ Fashion Week. It has been a few weeks already but I still wanted to share this. NYFW is on right now and I could only dream to watch a runway show there.
Anyway, this post is all about the CLEO Presents RUBY/HOLY CHIC/COOP show during the NZ Fashion Weekend. This is a great combination of three wonderful designers. This is the show that was most wearable to me and closest to my style. I loved the clothes I saw and want them all.

NZFW: Resene Designer Selection Show
It has been exactly 2 weeks since I went to NZ Fashion Week and my experience is still fresh in my mind. I have two runway show posts left so if you’re still interested, continue reading.
Today is all about the Resene Designer Selection Show. NZFW is quite exclusive to the fashion industry and delegates only. However, the DSS is open to the public and you can purchase tickets to the show. It was on from Wednesday to Saturday at different times.
It’s a great show to get an overview of the current designer collections. There’s something for everyone and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
I watched the show from the front row so I managed to take a lot of photos.
NZFW Goodies
I watched a few shows during NZ Fashion week but I only managed to get a goodie bag during the Resene Designer Selection Show. The photos from that is coming in a few days but to break up all NZFW runway photos, I thought I’d post a haul of my NZFW goodies.
The Resene Designer Selection show was basically on every day during NZFW and it features a bunch of designers and a few clothes from their collections. I wasn’t able to get in backstage which pissed me off so I watched the show in front row instead. Also in spite, I got two goodie bags!
So if you’re like me who’s always interested on what’s inside goodie bags at events then check out the rest of this post.
NZFW: RUBY
The last New Zealand Fashion Week show I watched on Thursday was RUBY. It was the only off-site show I watched too and it was in a Wilson Carpark near K Road.
We had to be there early for the NZFW Backstage blog and when we got there, the two top levels of the car park was closed off for the show. It was un unusual place to have a runway but RUBY made it work.
See below for more runway photos.
NZFW: Miromoda
The second show I went to was Miromoda. I could tell it was a much anticipated show compared to the first show of the day, Frances Jerard by the amount of well-known people in front row and people who wanted to get seats.
We managed to get in but there was a wait to get seated so I decided to be in the media pit along with the photographers. I was towards the right and my view was partially blocked by a pram but I made it work.
I still managed to get some runway shots. See below for more photos.
NZFW: Frances Jerard
The first show I did for the NZ Fashion Week Backstage Blog is Frances Jerard. I was quite nervous because it was my first show and I was a bit shy approaching the head hairstylist, makeup artist and the designer but I managed to do all three in the end.
See below for hair, makeup and photos from the runway of the Frances Jerard Be Brave Collection.
My first NZFW experience
Today marks 5 months since I launched my blog. Time has has gone by so quickly and I have enjoyed the last few months. If I didn’t start A Style Collector, I wouldn’t have met awesome bloggers and probably wouldn’t have the opportunity to go to NZ Fashion Week this year.
If you didn’t know, I’m doing the NZFW Backstage Blog with a bunch of other bloggers thanks to We Are Anthology. Yesterday was my first day going to it although NZFW officially kicked off on Monday night.
I’ve taken a lot of photos and I have so much to edit but I have a few snaps of the venue for you today. It’s a sneak of some of the things you can see during NZ fashion week.
