Travel: Arrowtown & Wanaka

This week’s #BlogGreatness theme is travel. I know I recently travelled to Melbourne but since I haven’t looked at the photos I’ve taken from that trip, I thought I’d continue on and write about our Queenstown holiday last year.

I already made a post about Queenstown here on the blog but we also visited Arrowtown and Wanaka. I will focus on these two places today. We rented a car and did a day trip from Queenstown.

See below for more photos and to see what we got up to.

Matariki Festival: Stellar

I found about this event today and I’m glad I decided to check it out. If you are interested in seeing some pretty light installations, head over to the North Shore because Stellar is on.

Stellar: Bright Ideas is for the Matariki Festival and it runs until Sunday night. There are seven light installations celebrating the arrival of Matariki (Seven Sisters) constellation in the winter night sky.

Winter Fashion Essentials

Here in New Zealand, we’re gearing towards the middle of winter. We’ve had some pretty cold days so this brings my winter fashion essentials. These are my must have items this winter season. Without these, I will be freezing cold. I get cold quite easily so anything that will keep me warm while being semi-fashionable is great.

This post is another one for #BlogGreatness as it fits this week’s theme. Check out the others who have posted about winter here.

#BlogGreatness: Queenstown

This week’s theme is Favourite Part of NZ. I have been calling New Zealand home for almost 9 years now and I truly love it here. This country is so beautiful and it’s also filled with lovely people. I’ve lived in Auckland ever since and I could’ve easily picked this city. However, the boyfriend and I went to Queenstown for our anniversary last year and I think I left a piece of my heart there.

Queenstown is absolutely beautiful. I don’t think you can take a bad photo of the place. Everywhere I looked is photogenic. I was amazed that I live in such an amazing country and I want to share with you the best parts of our Queenstown holiday.

#BlogGreatness: SAGE

Since I’ve started this blog, I have been lucky enough to be a part of the awesome #NZBloggers group and #BrunchClub. Though I have not met any of them in real life, I am blown away by the sheer creativity and talent of the members. Their support and knowledge have been helpful and inspiring too.

To motivate us bloggers, they have created a weekly challenge called #BlogGreatness which is a weekly prompt of specific words to blog about. We can interpret the word any way we like.

The first word in the challenge is Sage.

See below on how I put my own spin to this.
