Back in February, we had a Christchurch trip. We were there for a wedding but I decided to make a mini holiday out of it as I haven’t really explored Christchurch at all. We had such an amazing time so I wanted to do a recap of it here. We stayed at 2 beautiful places and explored both the city and a seaside town.
Last year one of my goals was to read more. I’ve always loved reading but over the years, I didn’t prioritise it so I only read occasionally. 2020 was the year that made me fall back in love with books and reading. I gave myself a goal of 25 books through the Goodreads Reading Challenge and I ended up reading 65 books! I thought I’d share my favourite ones I read. Continue reading
I think we can all collectively agree that this year has been a wild ride. 2020 has not been an easy year. I can list quite a few things that made this year difficult, painful and heartbreaking but despite all of that, this year has also been a year of discovery. I’ve learnt to slow down, make the most of every situation and try new things. It made me think of my ‘2020 Discoveries’.
These are the things, activities or places I’ve tried, discovered and liked/loved this year. I want to focus on the positive things so I thought I’d share them with you.
I have a lot of feelings today so I decided to write them down. I’m sharing it on here because when I’ve read other people’s experiences it helped me with my own feelings and emotions.Continue reading
So in my last blog post, I shared the different phases I went through during lockdown. I have reached another stage since writing that post and it’s the online shopping / buying phase. I have bought a few things online in the past week and I have felt a bit guilty about it. To turn this around, I thought I’d share the businesses and brands I want to support during this time.
I wasn’t planning on writing a blog post during this time but I’ve found writing a bit therapeutic. New Zealand has been on a lockdown for roughly 5 weeks and this is my 6th week of being at home. I have gone through a rollercoaster of thoughts and emotions during this time and I thought I’d put them down here and reflect on the past few weeks. I’m sure what I have felt during this unusual time is not unique as we’re all in a similar boat.
I know you might be over the new year resolutions posts by now but I wanted my first blog post in 2020 to be about my goals for the year. It’s 2020 and I turned 30 which is a milestone and instead of dreading turning 30, I’m going to embrace it and be grateful that I’ve been alive for three decades. In this post, I also want to talk about how I want to move forward with this blog as I’ve been thinking about it for quite some time.
Back in June, I shared my lounge decor when I finally finished updating the room. One weekend, I had a strong urge to re-do my bedroom. I’ve been wanting to change it up for quite some time but I was stuck on what I wanted it to be like. After getting rid of some old furniture and changing the layout of my room, I’m finally happy with it!
I posted it on my Instagram stories and I did get a few questions on where I bought some things so I’ve put it all in today’s blog post.
It’s been two years since I posted about my lounge decor and it has changed so much from that old blog post. I’m finally at a point where I am so happy with my lounge and I’m excited to share it.
I’ll go through the changes in detail so if you want to know more, continue down below. Continue reading
