Our last days in the Philippines were spent back in Manila. It was busy and slightly chaotic trying to spend time with family, last bit of shopping and packing. We had a great trip back in the motherland but it was also time to go back home after a few weeks away. I’ve also never been so grateful to be back home after a frustrating airport/flight experience with Qantas!

Our next destination after Davao was Boracay. This was the ‘holiday’ part of our trip as it was just us with no plans besides relaxing either by the pool or at the beach. Boracay is an island in the Philippines and it’s famous for its white sand beaches. It is a popular tourist destination and our family have never been there before this trip.

Last November, my family and I went back to the Philippines, our motherland for a holiday. My mum and I went back to the Philippines in 2018 but this 2023 trip was the first time since we moved to NZ that we all came back together. So this was a fairly special trip.
