Oh what a difference a year makes! 2018 has really flown by and a third of the year is done. Last year was quite an interesting year for me. 2017 was a year of discovery, a few ups and downs but 2018 has been amazing so far. January to April has been the best months so I wanted to collate my ‘highlights’ as I’ve done in the past.
I mostly share my beauty favourites here on my blog but to change it up a bit, I wanted to share some of the items I’ve been loving that don’t really fit into the beauty category. One of my goals this year is to read more. I bought quite a few books last year and in the past few weeks since the Christmas break and I hope I go through them all. Today’s post is all about my current reading list and ones that are by my bedside table.
I have been a terrible blogger as the last time I posted here was back in October. The later part of the year is always so hectic and I also lost my blogging mojo. I’m hoping to get it back this year so to start afresh (even though this post is also a bit late), I want to look back on 2017 which has been a year of change.
2017 was by far, the hardest year as it truly tested my strength but it also turned out to be the best. It made me a stronger and better person. I took every opportunity that was presented to me and it was the year that I really felt like I was being myself. In a way, my break up was like me being set free from the anchor that weighed me down. I was finally able to live my life how I should’ve.
I wanted to write about my September Highlights/Recap because it was such a busy but great month. A lot of different things happened such as blog events, catch up with friends and eating lots of food.
It’s been a while since I’ve shared a homeware haul here on the blog and for some time, I didn’t really buy too many homewares since I was focused on getting new lounge furniture instead. Now that I’m done with that, I’ve slowly moved on to my kitchen and upgrading a few things. This haul is mainly from Kmart and The Warehouse. This week, from 9th – 15th of October is Mental Health Awareness Week and today is the World Mental Health Day. I’ve had this post sitting in my drafts and I never thought I’d publish it because I don’t share overly personal things here. However, I don’t think I’ll have a more fitting day to post this and it’s about time we stop feeling embarrassed or scared talking about mental health.
I’ve had a tumultuous year to say the least and one of the biggest things I’ve realised is the importance of making sure I keep my mental health in check. Today, I’ll share how I’ve dealt with my mental health and how I boost my wellbeing.
