Going overseas this year wasn’t really in the plans but when the opportunity came up to go to Melbourne for a week, I didn’t hesitate. This was my first overseas trip since the pandemic started. This was also the last city I went to before the world locked down and NZ borders closed. I was quite excited to leave the country after 3 years and of course I had to document it.

Back in January, I went to Melbourne with my sister. We were there for a week just for a holiday exploring the city and eating all the food. We had an amazing time and we found the coffee and brunch scene in Melbourne central amazing so I wanted to share them.

I do a monthly highlights post here on the blog which is a look back on the great things that has happened in my life. This time, I looked back on the year just passed.
2015 was not the best year if I have to be quite honest. It was an emotional rollercoaster ride with plenty of ups and downs. I’m not going to dwell on the bad and will focus on the positives instead.

Here’s another part of my Melbourne series. If you’ve read my beauty haul, you’d know I did a lot of shopping during my trip and today’s post is focused on the jewellery items I picked up.
As you’ll see in the photo above, I treated myself and got something from this little shop called Tiffany.
Today’s post is a continuation of my Melbourne travel series. I have posted Part 1 already which is more of an overview and what I saw on the first day exploring this beautiful city. This post is about our second day there when I went to the Melbourne Museum, Eureka Sydeck and took the tram.
Because I explored the city the day before, I had a grasp of where I am and I got familiar with the main streets. On my second day, I wandered further than the main strips and just started walking aimlessly after lunch.
If I didn’t keep walking, I wouldn’t have stumbled upon the beautiful Royal Exhibition Building (pictured above) within Carlton Gardens.
This post is long overdue but as they say, it’s better late than never! It has been a few months since my Melbourne trip and I’m only posting this now. I apologise for the delay but as you may know, I did a bit of shopping while I was over there.
I didn’t think I went too crazy but I got a fair bit of makeup, mostly drugstore though. Priceline was my favourite shop ever and I wish we have it here in NZ.

It has been nearly 2 months since I went to Melbourne for the first time. I don’t know why it has taken me this long to post it here on the blog. Thankfully my Melbourne memories is still fresh in my mind and I can still share my experience with you all.
I took so many photos from my trip so I’m going to split it into a few parts. This first part is my overview of Melbourne and what I got up to first. I did do a lot of shopping and eating too but I’ll save that for another post.
I’m breaking up my NZ Fashion Week posts with a really haul from Melbourne. I bought three pairs of shoes during my trip there and I finally invested in a pair of leather boots.
