Going overseas this year wasn’t really in the plans but when the opportunity came up to go to Melbourne for a week, I didn’t hesitate. This was my first overseas trip since the pandemic started. This was also the last city I went to before the world locked down and NZ borders closed. I was quite excited to leave the country after 3 years and of course I had to document it.

Last month we ended up staying in Kirikiriroa. It’s been a while since I’ve been this city so when Max had to be here, I ended up tagging along. The weather was nice and sunny and I had a great time exploring. We checked out the Hamilton Gardens, had an amazing dinner out and then I walked around town and even did a spot of opshopping. 🙂

The last stop of our little North Island road trip was Hawke’s Bay. We travelled all the way from Auckland down to Kuratau, to Martinborough then Cape Palliser and then slowly made our way up stopping at Castlepoint. Our last destination was Napier.
