Today’s post is about one of my favourite food places in Auckland. I should’ve written about The Garden Shed a long time ago because I’ve been here multiple times but I was only able to take better photos during the weekend when I went with other NZ Bloggers for the monthly Brunchclub.

The Kimchi Project
Over a month ago, I checked out The Kimchi Project along with a few food bloggers. I’ve heard about this new Asian Fusion cafe/restaurant and I was quite excited to try it. Thanks to the lovely Tiffany of Heartshrooms, I had my first dining experience here.
Artwok Takapuna
In the last year, Takapuna has gained an amazing selection of new eateries and restaurants. We’re spoiled for choice and the latest place I’ve tried is Artwok. We went for Father’s Day and it was a really good choice.
Street Eats 2016
Last Saturday, my sister and I braved the cold winter chill and headed to Shed 10 in the city for this year’s Street Eats. This yearly event has been a part of Restaurant Month and it’s a great way to try different food from different Auckland’s food places.
Street Eats is a foodie paradise and I was in my element. To see all the food we tried, click down below.
Tok Tok Kitchen
Last Sunday, I had lunch with my family at Tok Tok, a restaurant I’ve been wanting to try since it opened in Takapuna some time last year. It was my dad’s birthday so I took it as a great opportunity to book this place.
It’s an Asian fusion restaurant which is quite the rage at the moment and this place did not disappoint. If you want to know more about this place and the food we ordered, continue down below. Just beware, I have a lot of delicious-looking food ahead.
High Tea at Waipuna Hotel
Last week, I was kindly invited by Zomato to an ‘Ever so girly and glamorous High Tea’ at Waipuna Hotel. This was an invitation I simply couldn’t resist so that Saturday morning, I got ready, drove to the hotel and went inside Wellington’s Restaurant and Bar where I greeted by the lovely view of Panmure Basin and Mount Wellington.
I had a feeling it was going to be a great day and I was right. To know my first high tea experience at Waipuna Hotel, click below. It was an afternoon full of good food and meeting new people too.
Miann
Dessert has to be my favourite type of food. I’m always up for something sweet and I swear I have a different stomach for dessert as no matter how full I am, I could still have room for it.
This is why I got really excited when Miann opened up in Auckland. If you didn’t know, Miann is a new dessert place in the city which is by the known pastry chef Brian Campbell (ex-head chef of Milse). He finally opened up his own restaurant and I was dying to try it out.
I’ve now been a couple of times so I can give you a bit of a review and show you the beautiful desserts Miann has to offer.
The Glass Goose: Cocktails & Food
This is an incredibly late post but over a month ago, I went to The Glass Goose for the first time for #cocktailclub. The amazing NZbloggers group and Zomato teamed up for an awesome night. I met other NZ bloggers and we made cocktails together. It was a fun night.
To know more about the cocktails we made and the food we ate, click below.
Cafe: Gloria Jean’s
I tend to shy away from big coffee establishments but I like Gloria Jean’s Coffees. I think it has a lot to do with how nice the Gloria Jean’s cafe is in Lorne Street.
My sister and I love going here to have coffee, catch up and chat. The interior design of this place is great and I want the furniture.
Desserts at Milse
Milse in Britomart has to be one of my favourite places in the city. It is my happy place because I have a major sweet tooth and love desserts.
I have been here too many times to count and I’m not embarrassed to say I have tried so many things they offer. What’s great about Milse is that they switch the ingredients around.
Last Saturday, my sister and I took my mum here as she’s never been. We were lucky to get a table.
See below for all the treats. If you’ve never been to Milse, I highly recommend it!
