I love home decor and recently, I redecorated my house and changed my lounge furniture. I wanted to share how I did it on a budget.

Home Style: Desk/Makeup Space
It’s been a while since I posted about home decor. Over the Christmas break, I redid our spare bedroom which is my office/closet. I don’t really know what to properly call this room but it’s basically a room full of my things. This is where I usually write my blog posts, do my makeup, get dressed and ready every day.
The rest of the room is basically the same but I changed my desk area and I am really happy with the result. This part of my room is brighter, less cluttered and more usable than it was before. If you want to have a sneak peak of my space and how I styled it, click below.
Kmart Beauty, Decor & Fashion Haul
You will probably know by now that I love Kmart. Everyone is in a Kmart craze but until Kmart stops bringing out cool affordable things, I will keep buying from them. I did two Kmart trips recently and today I’ll be showing you what I got.
This haul is a mixture of beauty, fashion and home decor as it says on the title. This just shows that Kmart is a one-stop shop because you can get everything there.

Home decorating on a budget
Yesterday marked our 1 year anniversary living in our little home so I thought I’d share my ideas/tips on how to decorate your house on a ‘budget’.
Technically, I didn’t really have a budget but I’m quite thrifty so most of our home decor are fairly inexpensive. It was our first time moving out of home and I didn’t want to splurge on decor because I was still experimenting on what works.
This post will focus on our lounge/living area and if it goes well, I plan on making another post for other rooms.

Kmart Home Decor + DIY
Since moving out of home and having my own place, I have loved decorating. Home decor is one of my favourite things to shop for besides makeup or clothing. Home decor stuff could be expensive though so one of my favourite places to find great inexpensive homewares is Kmart.
I have been a long time lover of Kmart home decor and I don’t see that ending any time soon because they keep coming out with amazing things.
I managed to grab a few pieces from my last Kmart trip including the test tube vase pictured above.
Continue on if you want to see the rest of my haul and I DIY-ed the vase as well.
Auckland Domain
A few weeks ago I met up with a friend at Auckland Domain and we explored the area. I haven’t been back here in a long time but I love this place.
Auckland Domain is Auckland’s oldest park at 75 hectares. It is a huge place and was formed around a cone of an extinct volcano. What I love about this place is there are lots to do and see. There is the Auckland War Memorial Museum, Wintergardens, walkways and just a great green open space area near the city. Parking is free for up to 3 hours too and that’s hard to find in Auckland now.
This day, we explored the domain and specifically wanted to see the Cherry Blossom trees. We actually got lost the first time but we found it eventually as you’d see in the photo above.

In Full Bloom: Mother’s Day Gift Idea
This Sunday is Mother’s Day. If you’re running out of time and ideas on what to give mum, redeem yourself by getting her beautiful flowers!
My mum is a hard person to buy gifts for. She usually say “I don’t know” if we ask what she wants. However, I don’t think anyone out there would mind getting a wonderful bouquet of flowers on Mother’s Day or on any special day. I sure wouldn’t and flowers make me happy.
If you are after some beautifully arranged flowers delivered right to your doorstep, check out bloomista.
You won’t regret it.
