I haven’t posted a lip swatch here on the blog for quite some time so today I’m sharing swatches of my favourite Revlon lip products. I have the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and the Colorburst Matte Balms.
If you want to see the shades I have and what I think of them, continue down below.
The Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains and Matte Balms come in similar packaging and lip crayon form but the matte balms have matte packaging so it’s easy to tell. They all twist up and no sharpening is needed.
I have two of each and I’ll start off with the Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains.
020 Lovesick is a bright pink shade while 045 Romantic looks red on the packaging but it’s more orangey-red on my lips. It also depends on how much you apply but because they’re balm stains, they’re not too pigmented. Both have a glossy finish too.
Although they’re balm stains, the colour payoff of these lip crayons are pretty good. I have Lovesick on the photos above.
Between Lovesick and Romantic, I like Lovesick more and tend to pick it over the other.
I have Romantic on here with my cat Turbo. He wasn’t ready for the photo though! Haha
Next up are the Revlon Colorburst Matte Balms which I prefer over the balm stains.
You may have seen Sultry in a few blog posts of mine because it’s been a favourite of mine. I truly love the shade and I tend to always put it in my handbag.
Sultry is one of my go-to pinky nude shades. It is so easy to wear and it goes with pretty much any outfit.
It’s also very pigmented and easy to apply. I love the shade, the formula and everything about Sultry.
Striking is an orange-red but has a warm tone to it.
Striking has more sheen than Sultry but they’re not as glossy compared to the balm stains. Like Sultry, this one was also easy to apply and glides on well on the lips.
Here’s a comparison of the two formulas:
The matte balms tend to accentuate dry patches more than the balm stains. The balm stains are more moisturising but I don’t think the matte balms are drying at all though. I can comfortably wear the matte balms all day.
Another thing I love about these is the scent/flavour. It is minty so it’s quite enjoyable to apply and to wear.
Overall, I like both formulas but if I have to choose, I’d go for the matte balms for the pigmentation and lasting power.
If you’ve tried the balm stain or matte balms, let me know your favourite shade.

I haven’t seen the colour range tbh, I got all of mine from the Big Bucket Deals so I grabbed whatever shade I could find. I’m so glad I got Sultry though. I cannot rave about it enough. I love it.
