I’ve been meaning to post some home decor on the blog and I thought this week’s #BlogGreatness theme ‘Type’ was quite fitting.
The photo above shows a wall in our spare room which I have turned into my closet/beauty/office space. It basically a room full of my girly stuff and I have decorated this wall full of quotes and prints which was a bit of a DIY job. I call this my inspiration wall and it makes me happy looking at it every day.

I’m no food expert but I am a self-confessed foodie. I love food and trying new places to eat. Back in my Tumblr days, I always posted about food and restaurants whenever we went out to eat as we did it quite frequently. It doesn’t happen as often nowadays but I’m still as excited trying out new restaurants.
Last weekend, my sister and I took my parents out for an early Mother’s Day lunch. I decided to try Tokyo Bay Takapuna since we’ve never been although I live close by. I have heard good things about this restaurant too so it was time to give it a go.

This month, Topshop Beauty will turn 5 and to mark this occasion, Topshop has released a limited edition collection with their top products in a beautiful rose gold packaging. I believe it’s called Topshop 5 Years of Beauty.
I have quite a few Topshop Beauty products especially lipsticks and I love them. I feel like Topshop makeup doesn’t get talked about a lot but I think they are great.
Although I have most of the products in the limited edition collection already , I picked one thing up that’s been missing in my own lipstick collection.

Rimmel London is one of my favourite drugstore brands. I like many of their products from foundations, concealer, blushes and lipsticks. The Apocalips are my favourite lip products in the range. I also love the name but I believe in the U.S. they are called Show Off. I think Apocalips is a better name though!
There are 13 shades in the collection ranging from nude to dark reds and I have 7 shades.

I am a big fan of MAC lipsticks. What I’m not a big fan of is the price over here in New Zealand. However, I cannot resist picking up items from their limited edition collections. I picked one lipstick from the MAC Toledo Collection. The packaging is amazing. It has a rubbery matte texture and the print stands out from the white bullet.
