Travel: Milford Sound

This week’s #BlogGreatness theme is Beautiful. I thought it was a great opportunity to continue my Queenstown holiday travel series by posting the most beautiful place I have been to in New Zealand.

Milford Sound is breathtakingly beautiful and we had a once in a lifetime experience going there by choosing to fly rather than drive from Queenstown.

To know about our epic adventure, see below.

Travel: Arrowtown & Wanaka

This week’s #BlogGreatness theme is travel. I know I recently travelled to Melbourne but since I haven’t looked at the photos I’ve taken from that trip, I thought I’d continue on and write about our Queenstown holiday last year.

I already made a post about Queenstown here on the blog but we also visited Arrowtown and Wanaka. I will focus on these two places today. We rented a car and did a day trip from Queenstown.

See below for more photos and to see what we got up to.

July Instagram Snaps

“I see life in instagram squares”

I believe the quote above is from Sara Donaldson of Harper and Harley who is in Fashion Bloggers, a tv show featuring Australian bloggers. I love the show so much. I agree with her because I am obsessed with Instagram if you haven’t noticed already. My phone camera is always in square mode.

Anyway, I thought I’d put my monthly Instagram roundup along with this week’s #BlogGreatness theme of squares which is perfect!

The photos above are from my Melbourne trip last week. I will be posting all about it here on the blog so stayed tuned for that.

See below for the other highlights of July. Can you believe it’s August already?!

Matariki Festival: Stellar

I found about this event today and I’m glad I decided to check it out. If you are interested in seeing some pretty light installations, head over to the North Shore because Stellar is on.

Stellar: Bright Ideas is for the Matariki Festival and it runs until Sunday night. There are seven light installations celebrating the arrival of Matariki (Seven Sisters) constellation in the winter night sky.

#BlogGreatness: Queenstown

This week’s theme is Favourite Part of NZ. I have been calling New Zealand home for almost 9 years now and I truly love it here. This country is so beautiful and it’s also filled with lovely people. I’ve lived in Auckland ever since and I could’ve easily picked this city.

Queenstown is absolutely beautiful. I don’t think you can take a bad photo of the place. Everywhere I looked is photogenic. I was amazed that I live in such an amazing country and I want to share with you the best parts of our Queenstown holiday.

W7 In The Nude Palettes

I’ve missed a couple of #BlogGreatness posts but I’m back this week with the theme Neutral. I thought I’d share these two W7 eyeshadow palettes in this post as they’re a perfect fit.

I don’t wear eyeshadows very much. I used to be quite anti-eyeshadows but only because I could never make it work on my eyes. However, something drew me to these two palettes and I bought them.

If you want to know more about these palettes and see some swatches, click below.

Home Style: Wall Art

I’ve been meaning to post some home decor on the blog and I thought this week’s #BlogGreatness theme ‘Type’ was quite fitting.

The photo above shows a wall in our spare room which I have turned into my closet/beauty/office space. It basically a room full of my girly stuff and I have decorated this wall full of quotes and prints which was a bit of a DIY job. I call this my inspiration wall and it makes me happy looking at it every day.

See below for more photos.

#BlogGreatness: SAGE

Since I’ve started this blog, I have been lucky enough to be a part of the awesome #NZBloggers group and #BrunchClub. Though I have not met any of them in real life, I am blown away by the sheer creativity and talent of the members. Their support and knowledge have been helpful and inspiring too.

To motivate us bloggers, they have created a weekly challenge called #BlogGreatness which is a weekly prompt of specific words to blog about. We can interpret the word any way we like.

The first word in the challenge is Sage.

See below on how I put my own spin to this.
