This winter, I became obsessed with capes. Sweater capes in particular because they’re warm, can hide multiple layers underneath and is super comfortable. The sweater cape I’m featuring today is my favourite and it was an unexpected find from Kmart!
I don’t know about you but I get pretty lazy dressing up during winter. Most of my outfits in the colder months lean toward the casual side. However, I can’t really do it every day due to work so I save the comfier outfits for the end of the week. Today’s post features my usual casual Friday go-to. I’ve worn this Decjuba sweater so much and I’ve made more appropriate for the office.
Today’s post is a collaboration with Avoca, A NZ brand that offers clothing and accessories made from natural fibres. I was kindly sent a few pieces and I wanted to show how I’ve styled each one in this post.
We’re in the middle of winter now so the pieces I’m featuring are perfect for the chilly weather. They have definitely kept me warm and I know I will be using them a lot this season.

A few weeks ago, I checked out WE’AR’s latest Autumn/Winter collection WOLF. I went to their Ponsonby store on behalf of Thread. The full write-up of what happened at the launch is on Thread and you can read all about it here.
I took way too many photos during the launch so I thought I’d share them on here too. Most of the collection is now available online as well so I will include links.
Before the warm weather finally stays for good, I wanted to share my current favourite outfit. I have been wearing this top and jeans combo a lot lately. It has been my go-to outfit when I’m out and about especially in the weekend. It’s casual but comfy and warm.

It’s already spring in New Zealand so before it gets too hot, I thought I’d share my last shoe purchase.
For some reason, I’ve always wanted a red pair of boots but a good one is hard to find. I’ve found some tacky looking pairs or ones that aren’t my style. It changed when I saw this Chaos & Harmony pair.
Chaos & Harmony is a NZ shoe brand. I’ve known the brand for a while now but this is my first ever pair from them. I saw an event on Facebook about a sample sale and I couldn’t resist. My sister and I went and I came home with these lovely boots.
They’re beautiful so click below for more photos.
I’m breaking up my NZ Fashion Week posts with a really haul from Melbourne. I bought three pairs of shoes during my trip there and I finally invested in a pair of leather boots.
Check out my shoe haul below.
This week is New Zealand Fashion Week and I’ll be attending my first show this morning. In light of this week’s fashionable events, I thought I’d post this Kenzo dress I got from Savemart because it’s one of my trendy ‘fashun’ things in my closet.
I absolutely love this but scoping out photos on social media and other blogs, it seems like black is the colour of choice of fashion week attendees. I’m unsure whether to wear this bright dress in the next four days yet so I’ll see how that goes.
I’ve actually styled this in two different ways. See below for more photos.
Kmart is one of my favourite places to shop. It s a dangerous place for me because I always want to buy something from there.
I love Kmart homewares the most but this post is a fashion haul. Not only does Kmart have great stuff for the house but they have really affordable shoes and clothes too.
See below for my full haul which includes this pair of boots and some tops.
I’m back with an outfit post to start this week off. This Boohoo sweater has become one of my favourite tops to wear this winter. It is quite casual but I think the frill hem spruces it up.
