I know you might be over the new year resolutions posts by now but I wanted my first blog post in 2020 to be about my goals for the year. It’s 2020 and I turned 30 which is a milestone and instead of dreading turning 30, I’m going to embrace it and be grateful that I’ve been alive for three decades. In this post, I also want to talk about how I want to move forward with this blog as I’ve been thinking about it for quite some time.
My Bedroom Decor
Back in June, I shared my lounge decor when I finally finished updating the room. One weekend, I had a strong urge to re-do my bedroom. I’ve been wanting to change it up for quite some time but I was stuck on what I wanted it to be like. After getting rid of some old furniture and changing the layout of my room, I’m finally happy with it!
I posted it on my Instagram stories and I did get a few questions on where I bought some things so I’ve put it all in today’s blog post.
Lounge Decor Update
It’s been two years since I posted about my lounge decor and it has changed so much from that old blog post. I’m finally at a point where I am so happy with my lounge and I’m excited to share it.
I’ll go through the changes in detail so if you want to know more, continue down below. Continue reading
Auckland Fried Chicken Festival
If you love fried chicken and live in Auckland, you would’ve probably heard about the Fried Chicken Festival that happened last weekend. This was my first time going so I wanted to document and share my experience. The tickets were limited so if you had FOMO and was wondering how it was, continue down below.
The Pleated Skirt
I don’t wear skirts often but when I do, it’s likely to be pleated. This green pleated skirt has been a favourite of mine. I wanted to share the ways I wear it.
This is the second outfit Laura shot and I love how they turned out. She had this location in mind and we swapped between the driveway and the green wall.
April Brunchclub at Devon On The Wharf
Last month, I organised the NZBloggers Brunchclub at one of my favourite brunch places Devon On The Wharf. I have already blogged about this place before but I wanted to recap my first ever brunchclub.
Favourite Casual Dress
So a few weeks ago, Laura from lifewithlaura.nz took a few outfit photos of me. I was quite nervous as I am definitely not a model and posing for me is awkward but after a few directions from her, it got better and she managed to take beautiful photos.
I wanted to share the first lot wearing my favourite casual dress.
Melbourne Brunch Spots
Back in January, I went to Melbourne with my sister. We were there for a week just for a holiday exploring the city and eating all the food. We had an amazing time and we found the coffee and brunch scene in Melbourne central amazing so I wanted to share them.
If you’re heading there soon, check out all the brunch spots below. I highly recommend you check them out.
Postie Fashion
A couple of months ago, I was approached by Postie to check out their range and pick a few outfits. When I did it it was for the autumn/winter season but I still wanted to share what I got because the pieces I chose can also be worn this spring as there are days when it’s still cold. Postie has also released their spring collection so I’ll share a few pieces I’ve been eyeing up from the new range.
Devon On The Wharf
Devonport is probably my favourite suburb in the North Shore besides Takapuna, my home. It’s such a great place to go for a walk, stroll around the quaint town and have brunch. Right smack in Devonport Wharf is the aptly named Devon On The Wharf. We’ve been here a couple of times so I’ve tested this place out.
