It’s been a while since my last blog post. It actually feels weird that I’m sat down with my laptop writing about this but I want to share why I have been silent over here. A lot happened the past few months and now I feel ready to share how I’ve been because for the first time in a long time, I actually feel like myself again.

January – April Highlights
Oh what a difference a year makes! 2018 has really flown by and a third of the year is done. Last year was quite an interesting year for me. 2017 was a year of discovery, a few ups and downs but 2018 has been amazing so far. January to April has been the best months so I wanted to collate my ‘highlights’ as I’ve done in the past.
2017: A Review
I have been a terrible blogger as the last time I posted here was back in October. The later part of the year is always so hectic and I also lost my blogging mojo. I’m hoping to get it back this year so to start afresh (even though this post is also a bit late), I want to look back on 2017 which has been a year of change.
2017 was by far, the hardest year as it truly tested my strength but it also turned out to be the best. It made me a stronger and better person. I took every opportunity that was presented to me and it was the year that I really felt like I was being myself. In a way, my break up was like me being set free from the anchor that weighed me down. I was finally able to live my life how I should’ve.
September Highlights
I wanted to write about my September Highlights/Recap because it was such a busy but great month. A lot of different things happened such as blog events, catch up with friends and eating lots of food.
My Mental Health Journey
This week, from 9th – 15th of October is Mental Health Awareness Week and today is the World Mental Health Day. I’ve had this post sitting in my drafts and I never thought I’d publish it because I don’t share overly personal things here. However, I don’t think I’ll have a more fitting day to post this and it’s about time we stop feeling embarrassed or scared talking about mental health.
I’ve had a tumultuous year to say the least and one of the biggest things I’ve realised is the importance of making sure I keep my mental health in check. Today, I’ll share how I’ve dealt with my mental health and how I boost my wellbeing.
June – July Highlights
My last recap post was back in May so it’s about time I do another update since the past two months were definitely better than April & May combined for various reasons.
Lounge Decor on a budget
I love home decor and recently, I redecorated my house and changed my lounge furniture. I wanted to share how I did it on a budget.
Home Decor: Magnapix
If you can’t already tell by having this blog and Instagram, I love taking photos. I take way too many photos and most of the time, they just end up in my camera roll and eventually deleted. I don’t have photo albums or frames in the house as it’s not really my style but I like to display some of my favourite photos and memories another way: fridge magnets.
April – May Highlights
I didn’t do a recap last month so I thought I’d combine April and May in one. The past two months have been a bit hectic and stressful for various reasons. Whilst I’m glad last month is over, I can’t believe we’re halfway through 2017 already. It’s been 6 months since my life changed and although there were a few bumps along the way, I’m pretty happy.
Mouse the grey kitty
In my first post this year, I briefly mentioned my new kitten Mouse. Then I realised I dedicated an entire blog post to Turbo when we got him so I think it’s only fair that I properly introduce Mouse to all of you and to let you know of his background and how I suddenly got a second cat.
